Hey Y'all! I'm so glad you're here. So let me tell you a little about me. I currently live in Columbus, Ohio, but I left my heart in North Carolina where I grew up (hence Southern Roots). As a kid I spent a lot of time in my grandma's salon, or doing hair and makeup for my friends. So it was no surprise to anyone when I decided to go down that path myself.

It was love at first sight when I met my boyfriend Nick, and shortly after we rescued our dog Beau. Together we packed up our little family and moved to the city, looking for better oppurtunities, a fresh start, and a closer commute to target. Right off the bat I got a job working with a local salon owner and we started our own venture downtown in the heart of the Short North.

In my free time you'll find me reading, journaling and snuggling the couch with my boys. Binge watching a new show on Netflix or Fixer Upper. I love being outside and hiking, just as much as I love planning my next adventure.  But recently my biggest hobby has been flipping our new "old" house into our home, and more than likely you'll find me searching the shelves of an antique shop or helping Nick on our latest project.
